What happens when you bring together fourteen Arab and Jewish women elected officials—deputy mayors, council members, regional deputies—for an intensive weekend retreat? Not the usual political posturing, but something far more powerful.

In late October, The Abraham Initiatives gathered women with varying levels of experience in office, creating a rich mix of perspectives and challenges. Held in partnership with and The Jewish Women‘s Foundation of Metropolitan Chicago and the Shita Institute, an organization specializing in local leadership development, the retreat was designed as a common space where women leaders could think, learn, network, and forge new collaborations, combining theoretical frameworks with practical workshops.
