With Arab communities in Israel facing a crisis of crime and violence, Safe Communities works to mediate between Arab community leadership and the institutions tasked with ensuring the safety of all Israeli citizens. Our program focuses on building trust between Arab leadership and the Israeli Police, and on finding solutions to the root causes of this issue.
With the 2018 municipal elections in Israel resulting in Jewish-Arab city council coalitions in every mixed city, we launched our Shared Cities Initiative to ensure the success of these nascent political partnerships and provide a model to the rest of the country.
