The Annual Report provides a concise look at our programs and the rationale behind them. You will get a glimpse of our work on the ground accompanied by pictures and statistics that paint a fuller picture of our initiatives. It's the story of our organization over a one-year period.
The Abraham Initiatives strives to fulfill the promise of full and equal citizenship for Israel’s Jewish and Arab citizens, as embodied in Israel’s Declaration of Independence.
This year, we celebrated our 30th anniversary with hundreds of friends and supporters. This milestone enables us to reflect on our work to promote equality and partnership between Israel's Jewish and Arab citizens, and look forward to the future of building a shared society.
With Jewish & Arab youth in Israel almost exclusively living and studying in separate towns and school systems, Shared Learning is a rare opportunity to study together and build understanding, knowledge and friendship with the so-called "other".
With Arab communities in Israel facing a crisis of crime and violence, Safe Communities works to mediate between Arab community leadership and the institutions tasked with ensuring the safety of all Israeli citizens. Our program focuses on building trust between Arab leadership and the Israeli Police, and on finding solutions to the root causes of this issue.
We are beginning to see the impact of this new legislation which gives exclusive rights of national self determination to the Jewish people, and demotes the status of the Arabic language in Israel. We are working in partnership with other civil society organizations to raise awareness about the law and to fight against it.
